Begin a Conversation

The work begins with a conversation — unhurried, and entirely yours to lead.

Get Started

Reaching out

If Chaptering speaks to you, the next step is to begin a conversation. It is an unhurried exchange in which you can ask whatever you need to ask, describe where you stand in relation to the work, and sense together whether the time is right. It is yours to take at whatever pace suits you.

What helps to include

Your first message can take whatever form you like, and a few lines is plenty. If you would like to give me something to work with, it helps to know a little about your existing relationship with your inner child and any inner child or depth work you have done before; what draws you to Chaptering now; and whether you are approaching it primarily for your own work, with the intention of practising, or are still finding out. Anything you are uncertain about is welcome — uncertainty is often the most useful place to begin.

On readiness

Chaptering is a continuation of an established relationship with the inner child, and the conversation is partly a way of looking together at the ground that has been prepared. If that ground is still forming, there are gentler preparations that come first, and I will say so plainly. The aim is for the work to meet you where you genuinely are.
